Support a young person in care by becoming a trusted, consistent adult in their life through monthly one-to-one visits. Build a meaningful relationship, share experiences and help create positive memories that last.

Hounslow Allies is the Independent Visitor Service for the London Borough of Hounslow, matching volunteers with young people aged 8 to 16+ who are living in care. As an Ally, you will build a trusted, one-to-one relationship with a young person, meeting monthly to spend time together doing activities such as bowling, football, climbing or simply getting lunch and chatting.

This role is part of a statutory service designed to support children who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation, particularly those placed outside their home borough. You are not part of the professional network around the young person, which allows you to offer a consistent, independent and supportive presence.

By sharing your time, skills and life experience, you will help a young person build confidence, feel valued and create positive, lasting memories.
