Make a donation

Across the UK, our inspirational volunteers are on a mission to help people stay connected, healthy and active. We’re bringing people together but need funds to keep our vital services running.

At Volunteering Matters, we work with volunteers to make a real difference on the issues they care about.

Our volunteering projects address multiple complex issues and inequalities. Whether it’s matching volunteer mentors with young people leaving care, to volunteers supporting people with disabilities to get involved with local environmental projects, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive.

But supporting communities to create social action and impactful volunteering across all these areas requires a lot of skill and support.

Your donation will make a difference

Every year, we support thousands of volunteers who give their time, skills, and enthusiasm across the UK. By partnering with and working in communities, we have empowered others to overcome adversity, tackled social isolation and loneliness, improved health and wellbeing, and supported people to develop skills and opportunities.

Any donation you give will go directly to supporting our community projects

  • £10 a month can help a lonely older person attend regular group activities in their community.
  • £20 a month can help a care experienced young person attend regular mentoring sessions.
  • £50 a month can help young volunteers deliver regular workshops on complex issues in schools.

Join in our campaign and give £1 for every day in May!

This May we’re asking our supporters to do something amazing – give £1 for each day in May to power community-led volunteering across the UK. That’s £31 in total, donated in one go.

💜 Give £1 a day throughout May (that’s £31 total)
