Support young people as they leave care to build confidence, skills and independence. As a Grandmentor, you will use your life experience to guide and inspire the next generation.

Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering opportunity where people aged 50+ support young people leaving the care system. Many of these young people are not in education, employment or training and benefit from having a consistent, trusted role model.

You will meet with a young person regularly, usually once a week, to build their confidence and work towards goals that matter to them. This could include finding work, accessing education or developing life skills that support independent living.

You will be fully supported and trained throughout your volunteering journey. By sharing your time, knowledge and encouragement, you can help a young person find their direction and reach their full potential.
