Action Earth grants now open
Volunteering Matters has opened applications for its 2026 Action Earth grants, supporting volunteer-led projects that improve local green spaces and bring communities together across Scotland.
Action Earth provides small grants to help groups take practical action on environmental issues, from enhancing biodiversity and creating habitats to transforming shared outdoor spaces. The programme supports communities to lead change locally while improving wellbeing and strengthening connections through volunteering.
Community groups, volunteers and organisations are encouraged to apply now and turn their ideas into action.
Action Earth is delivered by Volunteering Matters and proudly supported by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Action Earth
We are currently living in a global climate emergency and biodiversity crisis. In Scotland, we need to change how we view and use the world around us. A nature-rich future is our best response.
Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting this transformational work
