Our work in Brighton and Hove is all about supporting people aged 50 and over to live healthier, more connected lives.

Brighton and Hove is a city full of energy, diversity and heart. At Volunteering Matters, we believe that volunteering should reflect and respond to the unique character of the places we are part of thanks to the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery, and the strength of local partnerships and volunteers, we’re proud to be running impactful place-based projects right here in Brighton and Hove.

Our work in Brighton and Hove is all about supporting people aged 50 and over to live healthier, more connected lives. Whether it’s building social networks, supporting wellbeing, or helping people to access vital services, our projects aim to reduce loneliness and create lasting change, shaped by the community, for the community.

We’re committed to the power of volunteering and the difference it makes when it’s rooted in local knowledge and experience. In Brighton and Hove, that commitment comes to life through two projects we’re excited to share.

Lifelines (Brighton and Hove)
Lifelines project in Brighton brings together people aged 50+ both as volunteers running activities and as participants in the wide range of volunteer-run activities.
