Join us as we celebrate 40 years of Volunteers’ Week and look to inspire more people to make a difference.

Volunteers’ Week 2024 is our opportunity to celebrate the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK.

This year we will be celebrating 40 years of Volunteers’ Week. First established in 1984, we have been supporting it every year and are proud to be joining again this year.

Thank you volunteers with three colourful stars around the page

The Big Help Out is taking place between 7-9 June. It’s open to all, and you can find opportunities via the Big Help Out app.

The objective of The Big Help Out is to raise awareness of volunteering throughout the UK and provide opportunities for people to experience volunteering and make a difference in their communities. This is not a profit making or fundraising initiative.

Help us spread the word and encourage your friends to take part and #LendAHand for The Big Help Out. If you’re a volunteering regular, share your journey with your followers and tell them all the wonderful benefits that volunteering brings to people’s lives. Remember to tag us and use the hashtag #TheBigHelpOut!
