The Orwell Challenge Walk

Organised by The Rotary Club of Ipswich East, the Orwell Challenge is a fun day out for the whole family with the chance to enjoy the beautiful Suffolk countryside and help support Volunteering Matters along the way!

London Marathon

April 2026

Take part in the UK’s biggest marathon and do something amazing for communities across the UK. Please note we will ask all interested participants why they wish to run for Volunteering Matters and how they aim to raise the minimum fundraising target.

Thames Bridges Trek

25km & 16 bridges or 10km

13 September 2025

Setting out from Putney Bridge – it’s East towards the City, zig-zagging over the array of historic bridges – each with its fascinating story – and a midpoint stop at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens for some snacks & drinks. 25km later, it’s a finish line celebration in Southwark past the majestic Tower Bridge.
