Volunteering Works, ProjectScotland, and GetTheGen have all been integral parts of our mission at Volunteering Matters, each contributing uniquely to the communities they serve. To enhance our impact and streamline our efforts, we are excited to announce that we will be integrating these sub-brands into our main parent brand, Volunteering Matters.
A new chapter for us
To better align our efforts and maximize our impact, we have decided to integrate Volunteering Works, ProjectScotland, and GetTheGen into Volunteering Matters. This integration will help us to focus more effectively on our core mission of making a significant impact through volunteering.
Since our founding in 1962, we have been committed to supporting employee volunteering. While our name has evolved over the years from CSV to Volunteering Matters, and then Volunteering Works, our dedication to creating impactful employee volunteering opportunities has remained steadfast. Volunteering Works, as part of the Volunteering Matters family, has played a pivotal role in enabling businesses and their employees to contribute meaningfully to their communities—fostering skills, building connections, and having fun along the way.
Volunteering Works has consistently delivered high-impact, tailored employee volunteering programs that benefit both businesses and the communities they serve. Our unwavering commitment has driven us to adapt and meet the ever-changing needs of the modern workplace and society.
Since 2005, ProjectScotland has been at the heart of helping people in Scotland transform their lives through the power of volunteering. Our passion for people and their ability to positively impact their communities has driven us to support countless individuals in developing the confidence and skills needed to move into employment, training, or education.
ProjectScotland has provided personalised plans for volunteers, including placements with local charities, one-to-one mentoring, and ongoing support from our dedicated team. Our commitment has been unwavering, with 78% of our volunteers continuing on to better opportunities after their placements. We will always be proud of the impact that we have made in communities across Scotland.
GetTheGen has proudly been the go-to partner for businesses looking to recruit, retain, and develop a multi-generational workforce. As a social enterprise, we have supported young people in becoming work-ready for over 16 years, leveraging our expertise in organizational and people development to create brilliant places to work.
Our mission has always been to help businesses address the challenges of a multi-generational workforce. We have collaborated with over 60 leading UK and global businesses, offering insightful and engaging learning programs that foster inclusive and dynamic workplaces.
What this means
- A new identity: We will continue our work under the name “Volunteering Matters.”
- Seamless transition: All existing contacts and colleagues will remain the same, ensuring continuity and support.
- Enhanced focus: By uniting under Volunteering Matters, we can concentrate more effectively on our core mission – making a significant impact through volunteering.
We are excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it brings to enhance our collective impact. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
This integration does not signify a step back from our commitments. On the contrary, it reinforces our priority to invest in and expand our initiatives. By combining our efforts under a single brand, we aim to reduce confusion and streamline our services, ensuring that we continue to support businesses, communities, and individuals effectively.
