Volunteer Social Events Coordinator (King’s Lynn)

Become a Volunteer Social Events Coordinator, you will help organise and manage a variety of social activities and events for our service users.

Match and Mentor in Norfolk provides crucial support for individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs, helping them engage in community activities such as volunteering, training, work experience, and social events. By encouraging independence and enhancing well-being, the programme plays an important role in the lives of its members.

As a Volunteer Social Events Coordinator, you will help organise and manage a variety of social activities and events for our service users. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating engaging and inclusive events that enhance participants’ experiences and support their social development.

  • Plan and organise social activities and events tailored to the interests and needs of our service users
  • Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to align events with service users’ preferences and within an agreed budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community members who can support our events and activities

  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability of at least half a day per week
  • Completion of a DBS check (provided by us)

  • Comprehensive training and ongoing support
  • Reimbursement for travel and subsistence expenses (in line with our policy)
