SAFE
SAFE empowers young people with additional learning needs to lead conversations about relationships, safety and wellbeing. Through peer-led workshops, it builds knowledge, confidence and safer life choices.
SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone) supports young people aged 16–35 with additional learning needs, alongside their families, to better understand relationships, safety and wellbeing. The project focuses on topics including healthy relationships, sexual health, mate crime and online safety.
Delivered through peer-led workshops, SAFE creates a space where young people can lead discussions, share experiences and learn from one another. This approach builds confidence, strengthens understanding and ensures learning feels relevant and accessible.
The project helps participants recognise risks, make informed choices and feel more confident in speaking up or reporting concerns. It promotes inclusion, particularly around sexuality and gender, and supports young people to develop the skills needed for safer, healthier and more independent lives.
