Katrina is advocate for human rights, gender equality, and youth voice with nearly a decade of experience in these fields. She has served as a trustee of Volunteering Matters since 2020.
Through her work she has collaborated closely with UK civil society and charities, the Scottish and UK Governments, as well as international institutions including the Council of Europe and the United Nations.
Katrina has been recognised internationally for her work, receiving the Point of Light Award from the UK Prime Minister (2020), the Diana Award (2021) and was awarded the BEM in the Queen’s Platinum Birthday Honours (2022), as one of the youngest recipients that year.
Her journey with volunteering started aged 15 with her local Girlguiding group and continues to this day – from volunteering at a local language café to leading European-wide advocacy efforts on youth and gender equality.
