RSVP (Glasgow & West Scotland)

• Working with volunteers aged 50+
• Delivering a wide range of activities to benefit the local communities
• Activities are based on volunteers’ skills and interests, or local needs

The Retired and Senior Volunteering Programme in Glasgow provides volunteering opportunities primarily for the 50+ age group. Knitting groups are available to participate in this region in which members meet for coffee and chats. They bring in knitted items that are distributed to benefit the local community and are provided with wool to bring home.

RSVP is self-funding, relying on applications to local grant funding groups such as the Rotary.

  • Reducing isolation and loneliness
  • Building skills, confidence and improving opportunities
  • Improved physical and mental health
