As a School Organiser, you’ll play a vital role in our Schools Volunteering Programme, guiding and supporting volunteers who work one-to-one with primary school pupils in Lambeth. Together, you’ll help young students build confidence, develop social skills, and achieve their potential in a safe, encouraging environment.
Your responsibilities will include supervising volunteers, ensuring activities are impactful and safe, and serving as a key link between Volunteering Matters and our team on the ground. This role offers autonomy and the chance to make a genuine difference, with support from our staff always available when needed.

- Supervision of other volunteers on the activity.
- Ensuring that all activities are organised efficiently and are safe for Volunteers and beneficiaries.
- Providing a link between Volunteering Matters and the project volunteers.
- Maintain relevant records and statistics and provide updates to Volunteering Matters.
- Take part in the regional Organiser network, liaising with other similar volunteers, providing support and sharing good practice.
- Capable of independent working.
- A good understanding of literacy.
- Outgoing and understanding of other people’s needs.
- Good communication skills.
- Live locally to Lambeth, to allow in-person support of volunteers.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme ( The London regions cover Central London and the South as far as Wiltshire, and East London and the South. RSVP projects are locally focused, aiming to improve health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation, address inequalities and improve people’s life in their communities.
