Connect+Go

Connect+Go

  • Volunteer drivers project running in Nuneaton, Coventry and Warwickshire
  • Supporting young people in care, refugees and asylum seekers to access social events and activities

Connect+Go is a volunteer transport service funded by the Department of Transport. The project runs hand in hand with our Grandmentors project in Warwickshire, which currently supports young people in care from Warwickshire Council’s Asylum and Leaving Care Team. The service is designed to tackle loneliness and isolation in the community by supporting young people to access social events and activities.

We have two brightly coloured vehicles on Connect+Go. Our tuk-tuk will be available for journey in and around Nuneaton, and our minibus will be covering all areas in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Hear from Heather, one our volunteers

“I’m really glad I volunteered for this role and would encourage anyone who is able to commit some time to support the project. It focuses on reducing isolation and loneliness through transport, and without the minibus, young people wouldn’t be able to attend the monthly meetings, to meet each other and make new friendships.”
