Volunteering has the power to break down social barriers and bring about lasting change for individuals and communities. In this section is a range of volunteering information from how to find out how volunteering benefits you, the beneficiary and the community; how a volunteer might help you as well as information about our flagship Full-Time Volunteering and Employee Volunteering programmes.

If you have any other question not answered here, then just get in touch and someone will back to you as soon as possible!

Why volunteer?

Volunteers make a massive difference to people and communities all over the UK, from providing advice to troubled families, helping children to read, or empowering people with disabilities.

How can volunteers support individuals and organisations?

Full-time volunteers can support an individual through live in home care, or support organisations perhaps through befriending older people in a care home while also supporting people with learning difficulties in a group setting.

Full-time volunteering

Full-time volunteering is a unique opportunity for those aged between 18 and 35 to undertake the challenge of moving away from home for 6-12 months to volunteer full-time.

Employee volunteering

Employee volunteering

Our Employee Volunteering team has over 24 years’ experience of providing tailor-made service support to employers developing their own corporate volunteering and business volunteering programmes.
