Heritage Camps is a summer volunteering programme for young people aged between 16 and 30 years old. Taking place over the summer holidays, the aim is to encourage young people to volunteer within a community whilst learning new skills that will help them in later life, whether that be further education or employment.
Camps will be situated at 8 locations around the UK for a week, dates and venues below, supporting the Heritage sites with general restoring, maintenance, cleaning and other tasks. Campers will volunteer as part of a team and may also have individual tasks. Heritage camps is also an approved activity that counts as the residential requirement for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
