Key Facts

  • Our volunteers support their communities across England, Scotland and Wales
  • Volunteering, mentoring and befriending roles available.

In 1962 our first volunteer travelled across the UK to become the first Full-Time Volunteer with Volunteering Matters, an organisation known back then as CSV (Community Service Volunteers). Over the next 60 years, as an organisation we have gone on to run hundreds of projects and programmes, and touched millions of lives with our work.

Today, we continue to run a wide range of volunteering projects across England, Scotland and Wales. Whether it’s matching volunteer mentors with young people leaving care, or supporting committed volunteers over 50 to run their own projects, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to thrive.

We believe that communities have the power, knowledge and energy to improve themselves from within – from corporate volunteers renovating their local town hall, to young people campaigning for societal change.

Be a part of affecting real change – have a look below at what opportunities are on offer!
