Help at Hand Volunteer Moira interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live

Following on from December’s NCVO report on the importance of volunteers in public services, Tony Livesey and Lucy Grey from BBC Radio 5 Live interviewed one of our beneficiaries, Moira, about her experience of volunteering.

Moira began as a beneficiary of our Handyperson Project when she moved to a new area, where the only contact she had was with her family and her carers. She’s since gone on to volunteer with our Help at Hand Befriending Project, where her hours are flexible and she said it has completely changed her life.
