“Help Volunteers Support Families” – Comment piece in the Children and Young People Now Magazine

Our Director of Strategy Paul Buddery has a comment piece in this month’s Children and Young People Now.  In it he discusses how volunteer mentor programmes for those on child protection or child in need plans can help local authorities to prevent statutory intervention and be a bridge to the wider community families need. He sets out key principles for local authorities to consider, all based on the learning Volunteering Matters has from over a decade of offering Volunteers Supporting Families programmes to local authorities across the UK.
