Oonagh Aitken

Our Chief Executive Oonagh Aitken was interviewed on BBC Radio London’s Drivetime show yesterday (3rd of May).

On the day that Royal Voluntary Service announced a partnership with Help Force to double the number of volunteers in the NHS by 2021, BBC Radio London dedicated the first hour of their Drivetime show to the topic of volunteering.

Oonagh spoke about the various Volunteering Matters projects and programmes that people can get involved with, from Volunteers Supporting Families to our Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme, and explained how it can benefit both the volunteer and the beneficiary.

Volunteers from across London also called in to the show to share their experiences of volunteering with a range of different organisations.
