Get Out Get Active (GOGA) is an exciting programme that supports disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy being active together. Funded by Spirit of 2012, the programme is focused on getting some of the UK’s least active people moving more through fun and inclusive activities.

GOGA partner Forth Valley Disability Sport is a local charity based in Stirling who provide sporting opportunities to children, young people and adults with physical, sensory and learning disabilities. We operate throughout the Forth Valley area. We are looking for a Volunteer Organiser to help supervise and assist our team of volunteers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being a main point of contact and supervising volunteers. Getting to know each volunteer and their role, while ensuring every volunteer has a role description
  • Ensure that volunteers understand their role and assist with any problems which may arise
  • Ensure the smooth running of the project and ensuring each task is assigned to a volunteer
  • Helping to ensure that volunteers receive the appropriate training and that volunteers have the chance to give their feedback, suggestions and ideas
  • Helping to recruit new volunteers and making sure that all volunteers feel valued and appreciated


  • Volunteers must be over 18 years old
  • Willing to complete a criminal record check (DBS)
  • Able to provide references
  • Interest in working with younger people
  • A strong interest in sport and helping disabled children and adults
  • Good organisational, time keeping, communication and people skills
  • Enthusiastic, honest reliable and trustworthy skills
  • Able to give a commitment of 2/3 hours per week
