Get Out Get Active (GOGA) is an exciting new programme that supports disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy being active together. Funded by Spirit of 2012, the programme is focused on getting some of the UK’s least active people moving more through fun and inclusive activities.

We need volunteers like you to help promote the project in the Thanet area.

You’ll be working with residents and providers of activities to help people in the local area to become more active and healthier.

As a GOGA Activator you will be helping to support participants to lead an active lifestyle and record their story along the way. It’s important that you enjoy social interaction and talking to people as you will build strong relationships with the participants, learning about issues that may prevent them from being active such as health, transportation, isolation or personal confidence.

Information will be recorded through a range of methods such as databases, social media and conversation. Training will be provided on the data system so you wouldn’t need any previous experience.
