Migration into suffolk

From Anglo-Saxon times through to the modern day, Suffolk has long been a place chosen by migrants as their new home.  Volunteering Matters was recently funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to track the history of migration into Suffolk – from 6th Century Sutton Hoo to contemporary Sri Lankan shopkeepers. Building on the media-training heritage of our volunteer-supporting work in Ipswich, these films could not have been made without the input and support of our volunteers.  Take a look and find out what they discovered about the changing histories and rich diversity of the area.
