Volunteering Matters, with support from strategic funding partners, is commissioning an external review of their Grandmentors programme.  Grandmentors is an innovative project using the power of inter-generational mentoring to support care leavers who may be in challenging life circumstances. These mentors are volunteers aged 50 and over who use their wisdom, their energy and their life experience to help keep young people leaving care on track.

We are now looking for organisations to conduct a review of the programme to support future design and implementation. The review will use published research and dialogue with sector experts to explore and hone the design of the Grandmentors model, assessing its likely benefits and limitations, most impactful and effective design, and how these relate to commissioning priorities and practices.

The review would need to be conducted over Summer 2017, with final reporting in September 2017.  Full details and invitation to tender can be found below.

Please follow this link for further information.  If you would like to have an informal discussion, or access Grandmentors’ previous evaluation and look at its model of change, please contact Paul Buddery, Director of Strategy.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 9th June.
