Calling our volunteers, supporters, and partners!

This year, we celebrated 60 years as a charity. It’s thanks to you that we’re still here sixty years later, still creating social change and still transforming communities across the UK via the power of volunteering.

Whatever your link with Volunteering Matters, we’d love you to be involved on our Diamond Day on 25 January 2023.

What is Diamond Day?

On this day we will be bringing a year of celebrations to a crescendo for our Diamond Day. It will be a day of thanks, and an opportunity for people across the charity to come together and highlight our ‘diamonds’. We’d love you to get involved online through social media, by sharing your thanks and highlighting someone special for what they do. This can be someone who volunteers to help out, someone who supports you and others in the organisation in what we do, or people who deserve a spotlight on our Diamond Day.

Help us end our 60th year with a bang!

How do I get involved in the campaign?

  • Post on social media, using the hashtags #DiamondDay and/or #WeAre60 on social media.
  • Tag us! As a charity we are on Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook. If you tag our account in your post, it will ensure we see it and are able to share it – all contributing to a wider day of thankful discussions about the diamonds around us.
  • If you have a photo, why not pop our Diamond Day logo on it or one of our visual icons? Click the links below to download.
  • Here is an example of what a Twitter post could look like, using our Diamond day logo and the hashtags
