Volunteering Matters are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our delivery team in Newcastle.

Volunteering Matters is working in partnership with Newcastle City Council to strengthen the volunteering infrastructure around health and social care across the City, building capacity within organisations and identifying new ways to involve volunteers.

To do this, we are focusing on creating and strengthening networks within the city, raising the profile of the impact of volunteers within social care and promoting best practice in volunteer management, with an emphasis on older adults and people living with dementia.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team to lead on this exciting project, working closely with Volunteer Centre Newcastle staff.

We are looking for someone who can work flexibly and creatively, demonstrating an understanding and commitment to our organisational values.

Your role will be to bring people together to share skills, knowledge and experience. You will facilitate conversations and encourage creative thinking around volunteering in health and social care, supporting people to translate ideas into action.
A skilled communicator, you should have a passion for volunteering and the impact it can have on people’s lives and the community we live in.

Occasional evening and weekend work.

Appointment to this position is subject to an enhanced disclosure check (DBS). Having a conviction will not necessarily cause a bar to employment.
