Operating as the service HR expert, to advise, guide and support staff and managers by providing high level people management and development support across the Charity.

About the Role

Working in partnership with managers, key stakeholders and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of Volunteering Matters. Operating as the service HR expert, to advise, guide and support staff and managers by providing high level people management and development support across the Charity.

CIPD qualified to a minimum of level 5, with a proven ability to support managers thorough a wide range of employee relations cases with confidence. You must have excellent up to date knowledge of UK employment law legislation and extensive knowledge of developing and managing policies and procedures related to an HR function.

Working in a friendly team of 4, reporting to the Head of HR and working with the HR Coordinator and HR Administrator, you will be a vital part of the HR function with a varied workload including but not limited to; case work, various HR projects, learning & development, policy implementation, HR reporting and continual improvements, supporting delivery of the Volunteering Matters business plan

Location

This role is flexible and will be homebased and/or office based or a mixture of both, depending on your location.  The role may require occasional travel where a case needs to be supported in person. Working pattern will be agreed with your line manager upon commencement of the role. You will require good internet access to enable remote working, and a suitable home office/workspace. IT equipment and infrastructure will be supplied.
